Avoneu first started out by helping clients with web development projects. As the business grew, we acquired more and more non-profit and government clients. With more exposure to these clients, we began to experience the tribulations they faced with their existing online vendors: over paying for a point-in-time website that lacked proper security, websites that didn’t provide an easy way for updating/maintenance, or web tools, like donation carts, that were built primarily for e-commerce stores. These all so common issues sparked an idea.
While non-profits and governments dedicated themselves to helping the underserved, they were underserved with their need to easily and effectively engage their communities online. And that’s precisely when the purpose of Avoneu became clear: our purpose, from the beginning, was all about helping you.

The name Avoneu is meant to impart the idea that we are providing a new path for non-profits and governments to engage and interact with their communities online. The name is a play on the idea of the company being an "avenue" and, phonetically, derived from the French word "avocat" (to advocate) and the German word “neu” (new). So, combined, a new avenue and path to advocacy.
